play 後面是有和人一玩的意思時，用with 來表示是毫無疑問eg) play with friends, play with my teacher但如困是形容死物，又是如何了了呢??我習作的句子是有這樣的三句1)he used to play with toys trains in the past.2)she used to play with dolls in the past.3)they used to play paper-scissors-stone in the past.如果照網址所作答的...play 是玩娃娃，play with 是跟娃娃一玩那第1題是否解作他跟玩具火車玩???那為什麼剪刀石頭布不會用play with?其他如i play football 可否變作i play with football.在語感上...play with 用作解釋和(某死物)一玩好像有點牽強!!我們常說:我玩足球、我玩洋娃娃、我玩電腦遊戲，但幾乎沒有聽到我和跟球一起玩、我和電腦遊戲一起玩!!!達人，請賜教!!
play 有個用法是 "扮演" 某個角色，如 "to play God" ，扮演神的角色。

如果後面直接接上球類或遊戲時，就是玩那種球賽或遊戲，如：Ilove to play basketball. 我喜歡打籃球如果 play 是和人一玩的意思時，用 with 來表示是毫無疑問；但是如果 with 之後的受詞是沒有生命時，也是可以的，只是你應該翻譯為"玩弄"，而不能翻譯為 "一起玩" ，有的時候講不通時就不可以這麼說；例如：I love to play with basketball. 我喜歡玩弄籃球 (耍弄特技之類)Please don't play with that crystal vase. 請不要玩弄那個水晶花瓶I like to play computer games. 我喜歡玩電腦遊戲但是不可以說 I like to play with computer games. 因為那就講不通了其他 play with 的用法：She's playing with a dangerous drug. 她正在和一個危險的毒品玩命The budget is just playing with numbers and doesn't make sense.這個預算只是在玩弄數字，毫無意義。

我覺得拉play with 是用在玩一樣東西 (tangiable) play是在玩比較abstract 像sports 你不會說i used to play with basketball 你會說i used to play basketball如果像娃娃 (tangiable) 有with或沒都可以 i used to play with dolls i used to play dolls 其實意思是一樣的我是這樣覺得拉0.0....不知道有沒有聽懂 囧
